Beijing subway Line 28, also known as the Central Business District (CBD) Line, is set to have eight stations, of which three are transfer stations, and the line will not pass by Jiulongshan Station, where passengers can transfer to Line 14, according to the second environmental impact assessment report released yesterday.
The line is scheduled to start construction this year, and it is expected to be completed in 2021.
The 6.4-km-long line runs underground in Chaoyang district, with the first station tentatively named Dongdaqiao Station, the terminal station Dajiaoting Station, and the others undeclared. The three transfer stations are Dongdaqiao Station to Line 6, Dajiaoting Station to Line 7 and the line’s fourth station with the name unknown.
As the CBD line is located in the eastern central area of Beijing, it will help solve the travel problem in the CBD via improving the structure and making up the deficiency of the rail transit network.
